Gemini Argon is here

I was hoping to get back to Antigravity now that Argon is out.

Turns out Argon is on the Gemini web and mobile apps, but not in Antigravity for the pro plan and requires the ultra plan to experience it there.

That feels a bit off. Argon is pitched for complex, creative work, and an agentic environment is where that capability should count most.

Asking a model for a product idea is one thing. Letting it read the codebase, make changes, run the product, check the result and keep going is another.

My guess is it comes down to costs and capacity. A chat is usually one model call. A coding session can be several dozens of calls, tool runs and context reloads, so a more capable model gets expensive fast once it works on its own.

That makes me think about google's seriousness regarding antigravity, do they even want to compete with codex and claude ?

This was a small window of opportunity to give users a taste of superior capabilities with reasonable restrictions but they have limited that to ultra users only for now :(
